Bengal's Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, addressed an assembly of industrialists during her visit to Spain, extending a warm invitation to invest in West Bengal. She highlighted the state's comprehensive connectivity and investment-friendly environment, emphasizing the opportunities for potential investors. The CM also proudly shared that 40 percent of the scientists involved in the recent Chandrayaan mission were Bengali.
Mamata Banerjee's overseas tour, aimed at attracting investments to West Bengal, marks her first international visit in five years. After her stopover in Dubai, she arrived in Spain and attended an industrial meeting with representatives from renowned brands, including the Inditex Group (Zara), hailing from Spain. Accompanying her were Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi, Industries Secretary Vandana Yadav, and Principal Secretary Gautam Sanyal, representing the state government.
